Double Mountain Property Management is a governmental entity of the City of Rotan Texas. Our mission is to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing to elderly, disabled, and low-income families. Double Mountain Property Management administers the Public Housing Program comprised of 86 units (1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom units) under the direction of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and 23 units (2- and 3-bedroom units) under the direction of USDA/Rural Development.

Each apartment is equipped with a range, refrigerator, and hookups for washer and dryer. Maintenance is provided for all units as well as after-hours emergency maintenance. Lawn care is provided for a minimal fee. Elderly and disabled tenants are exempt from the lawn care fee. Professional pest control is provided at no additional charge. Double Mountain Property Management may pay some utilities depending on which Program is selected.

Double Mountain Property Management also administers the Capital Fund Program for capital improvements to the Public Housing inventory. Rental Assistance is also available to qualified applicants for the USDA/Rural Development units. Double Mountain Property Management provides services for women and infant children (WIC) monthly at 504 E. 7th Street.
